What Is VW Care
The VW Care Program is a set of scheduled maintenance plans that you purchase in advance of service requirements. There are seven plans in the VW Care Program that you can choose depending on the model year of your car. The plans provide you with fixed pricing for your parts and service needs, so you aren’t surprised by changed prices on the day of service.
When And Where To Purchase VW Care
The plans can be purchased when you initially buy or lease your Volkswagen, or you can purchase a plan before the first scheduled maintenance is due to occur. These plans can only be purchased at a participating dealership like York Volkswagen. In some instances you may be able to add the cost of your chosen plan to your financing if you purchase your plan at the same time that you purchase your car.
How A VW Care Plan Helps
With a Volkswagen Care plan you have the peace of mind that comes with knowing your vehicle will be maintained by a certified Volkswagen technician at manufacturer recommended intervals. You will also have the peace of mind that comes with fixed pricing for your service needs. Your car’s resale value will be maintained as you maintain the car itself. If you own a 2016 or newer Volkswagen you will also get the benefit of 24 hour Roadside Assistance for those unexpected troubles on the road.
Which Plan Do You Need
There are seven plans available with VW Care. If your Volkswagen is a 2016 model or newer, you can purchase the Volkswagen Care Basic which provides for the 10,000 mile and 20,000 mile manufacturer recommended maintenance appointments. Volkswagen Care Extra provides for the 30,000 mile maintenance on cars from model year 2014 or newer. Volkswagen Care Packages 1-5 are for vehicles from 2014 or newer with the exception of the Routan. Package 1 covers 30,000 and 40,000 mile maintenance. You should choose Package 2 if you need 40,000 and 50,000 mile maintenance. Package 3 is for 50,000 and 60,000 mile maintenance needs. If your vehicle is ready for 60,000 and 70,000 mile maintenance, you will need Package 4. Volkswagen Care Package 5 covers the routine maintenance needed at 70,000 and 80,000.
